Engaging Academic Panel and Disinformation Exercise

The event drew in over 70 participants, eager to delve into the critical discussions and exercises planned for the day. One of the highlights was the academic panel, where experts shared valuable insights and perspectives discussing the book “Routledge Handbook of Disinformation and National Security”, book edited by three of the members of DOMINOES project.

Additionally, attendees actively participated in a disinformation exercise, gaining hands-on experience in identifying and countering false information online. This interactive session provided a practical understanding of the concepts of debunking and pre-bunking, as well as underlying the importance of digital literacy in today’s society.

The Multiplier Event served as more than just a forum for learning; it was a catalyst for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Participants had the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals from diverse backgrounds, including academia, journalism, and non-governmental organizations. This cross-sectoral dialogue facilitated the sharing of best practices and innovative strategies for addressing disinformation at local and global levels.
