Open Educational Resources

As part of the DOMINOES project, the presentations designed and used during the learning, teaching and training activities have been made available as Open Educational Resources that other teachers, trainers and practitioners could use in their activities. The activity is designed as a five-day course with six hours of interaction every day. The OERs could be used together or separately, as need be.

The first module of the DOMINOES course covers the first day of the course. The module focuses on the current information environment, the changes it is undergoing and potential hybrid threats to democratic societies.

The second module of the DOMINOES course focuses on understanding the current challenges caused by disinformation and information manipulation. It analyses the ways in which opinions and facts are expressed, on the political and social factors that can lead to social polarization and decline in trust and on the technological developments which impact opinion formation.

The third module of the DOMINOES course focuses on mitigating the threat posed by disinformation and building resilience against it. The module included materials on transnational regulatory responses to disinformation/FIMI and resilience building; Critical thinking and media and digital literacies; fact-checking and argument-checking, debunking and prebunking.

The fourth module of DOMINOES course focuses on an advanced analytic and response toolkit to counter disinformation. The module presents analyses on strategic, anticipatory, and current analysis of disinformation and information-led hostile influencing; technology-driven solutions and emerging technologies to counter disinformation; planning, design, and implementation of counter-narratives and positive content.

The fifth module of DOMINOES course focuses on simulation exercises, serious and wargaming to combat disinformation. It includes exercises on a situation that requires debunking; on how deepfakes are created and how they can be identified and debunked; and a final, ample disinformation scenario.
